Shorebird

Set on an oceanfront site above a reclaimed sand mine, this project features two structures for residential and recreational use, linked by a spacious courtyard garden—a protected oasis from onshore winds. Inspired by nearby headlands, the architecture seamlessly integrates outdoor spaces, offering panoramic coastline views. The construction employs materials like white concrete, hardwood, glass, brass, and rammed earth. Meticulous detailing, guided by a 3D model, ensures precise execution of off-form finish walls with a warm white concrete finish. Notable features include joint-free 25-meter off-form concrete beams, an underground basketball court with stringent deflection tolerances, a geothermal heating and cooling system, handcrafted joinery, and a pool/spa. This innovative and sustainable build prioritizes quality outcomes in every aspect.
