Nestled in busy Surry Hills, this three storey terrace house has struck a balance between the old and the new. Our team of skilled carpenters showed a keen eye for detail, ensuring that every stair tread was rebated and cut to precision to achieve a uniform lighting detail up the flight. Great care was taken in restoring the heritage of the property; render was stripped back to reveal the existing brick work underneath, skirtings architraves and mouldings were installed to frame the rooms, plaster work was repaired and a new wrought iron balustrading was installed. Modern industrial finishes such as concrete, stone and steel are in contrast with the soft curvatures of the walls and arches, again bringing balance to the overall design.
