Kiama House

Dramatic, coastal and rural, Kiama House was designed as the main residence on a 20 hectare stud farm. Consisting of a series of pavilions located within the coastal landscape, the buildings are located on a gently sloping hillside, which takes advantage of the sun, cross ventilation and the wide-sweeping, panoramic views. Timber, stone and zinc were used to give the house a robust, rural character, with elegant dry-stone walls built from locally sourced stone.

"An excellent build incorporating many different design concepts based on a non-circular floor plan with full-height doors and windows. The build incorporates seamless junctions between wall and floor finishes, exceptional stonework, tiling, concrete, painting and joinery. Additional features include two pools (one internal, one external), wine cellar and fully landscaped entry and water feature. The interface with services had to be precise to meet the designed finishes. Overall, an exceptional build."
